Lenses

Single Vision lenses are for either distance or reading. 

Bifocals are lenses with two distinct optical powers, they usually incorporate both your distance and reading correction. Bifocals can also be used for a VDU and reading prescription. 

We are a varilux specialist opticians. Varilux were the inventors of varifocals and remain the leading brand in varifocals. 

A varifocal lens incorporates your distance, intermediate and reading correction all in one lens. The lens power is graduated through the lens starting at your distance prescription at the top of your lens to your full reading prescription at the bottom. Wearing a varifocal lens means that you will be able to see at any distance, eliminating the need to constantly change your glasses. 

There are many different varifocal lenses available. We will help you make the right choice for you, based on your lifestyle, hobbies and budget. At Paul Moore Opticians we also have visioffice to make your lenses unique to you for full digitised varifocals ‘made to measure’.  

We provide ‘Road Pilot’ lenses that come with crizal drive, a premium anti-reflective coating with up to 90% less reflections at night for decreasing glare. This enhances your visual comfort for driving.
